What draws me to economics is not the theory. It is the numbers behind a decision.
I am a senior in Economics at Koç University. Across three summers I have interned in four different sectors: reinsurance, capital markets, e-commerce, and currently the defence industry.

Who I am and how I work, briefly.
I am a senior in the Economics department at Koç University. I finished high school at Notre Dame de Sion French High School, and I work in three languages.
I have interned for three consecutive summers, each one in a different sector. At a reinsurance company I saw how risk gets priced, at a brokerage how investment products are sold, and at an e-commerce company what a customer actually decides on. I am currently continuing with an internship in the defence industry.
Breaking a problem into parts and finding which piece of data actually changes the decision comes naturally to me. I work well in teams, and the part of a job nobody has picked up usually ends up with me, which suits me.
I am not looking for a title. I am looking for work whose result I can see, on the operations, strategy and value creation side of a large organisation.

Bachelor of Arts in Economics
Sarıyer, Istanbul. Taught in English. Courses taken at the College of Administrative Sciences and Economics include Introduction to Microeconomics, Introduction to Macroeconomics and Psychology.

I like following a number all the way back to why it is that number. My internships on the reinsurance and investment side pulled me in this direction.
Turning messy data into something that answers one clear question is the part I enjoy most. I keep expanding my toolset here.
Structuring an ill-defined problem, then being able to explain it to someone else. This is the role where I have been most useful in team work.
Numbers have a human side too. Seeing up close why a product gets chosen, during my internship at Hepsiburada, sharpened this interest.
